This is a cool little bag for the younger gals who have a bit of attitude in their strut. It seems like a lot is going on but the hardware and the straps all work together nicely. I have always loved Kooba for their sweet style with the bows and all that but this is a good shift into something more spunky. It has the Paddington feel – I’m hoping the look would come back so Tina would stop laughing at me every time I think of bringing that out. The outer pocket is great for the phone and keys, or metro card for city gals. If you have a recent grad to buy a gift for, she will love you if you got this! At Neiman Marcus for $595.
In my opinion, Vuitton had some stellar bags in its resort collection. First up is the addition of a new, and smaller, sized Sofia Coppola-designed SC bag–perfect for the more petite girl who likes the casual, slouchy feel of this special–and might I add expensive–collection. What’s more, Vuitton has introduced two new colors: snow white and tobacco brown. Despite their Hermès-like prices, I’ve nevertheless been a big fan of the bags. They’re subtle, refined and exude Parisian chic. My other favorite pieces were the mother-of-pearl candy-stripe clutches. Aren’t they divine? Super lightweight and lined in suede alcantara. Last but not least are the Monogram Idylle canvas bags. Pretty expected and utilitarian here, but I do think the Pochette Accessories bag in a pink and baby blue version with raffia accents is a nice punctuation piece.
